Why We Exist

The Place to Train was built on a simple belief: martial arts can change lives. Not just by transforming bodies, but by building people. Training builds confidence, discipline, and calm under pressure. It teaches respect, resilience, and the habit of showing up when things get hard. That growth carries into work, family, and how you move through the world. We exist to build strong people in a real community, and to turn every membership into real impact through Silent Bridge.

Mission

To deliver high-quality martial arts training that builds confident, capable people, and to invest what we earn into Silent Bridge with the same commitment we bring to our students and community.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need experience to start?

No Experience Needed. We have a range of classes from Beginner to Advance. If you prefer a structured start program, join our 12 week fundamentals programs that start every quarter.

What should I wear to my first class?

Wear athletic clothing without zippers, buttons, or anything that could scratch a partner.

For striking classes, wear comfortable gear that lets you move freely.

For jiu jitsu, we recommend a short or long sleeve rashguard or athletic shirt on top, and spats (leggings) or shorts on bottom.

How often should I train each week?

This one can be tricky. Every student can be a little different. We suggest 1-2 days a week to sustain, 3-4 days for growth, and 5-6 days for serious students.

Is sparring required?

Nope! Sparring is optional. For striking open mats you must be a member, or invited.
